My name is Avery. I am a multimedia producer drawn to documenting stories to educate and advocate for change. I believe that all people have value and that it is important to seek out the good in the world.
In 2012, I graduated from Seattle Pacific University with a degree in Global Development and a focus on refugees and forced displacement. Since then, I have worked in various aspects of storytelling, marketing, and communications, using photography, film, and writing to document stories throughout the globe.
Over the years, I have had the great privilege to work with for-profit and non-profit organizations alike, including: World Vision International, Jaguar Forest Coffee, ReWA, World Relief Seattle, Rallysong, Amal ou Salam, and Within Broken Borders.
Currently, I live in Seattle with Guinness, my 8-yr-old Bernese Mountain Dog. I spend my free time listening to as many podcasts as possible and learning how to make pottery.
